Chapter I — Salon near the Promenade
A third-floor flat facing the bay needed plants that survive shutters closed against noon glare. Two floor specimens sat clear of the balcony door swing; a trailing ledge held the east wall; dried accents covered the console for weekend absences.
Six months later only one vessel needed a soil top-up.
Chapter II — Old Town window ledge
A narrow Vieux Nice kitchen looked onto a shaded lane. Deep reveals held a shallow herb tray and a ceramic of dried grasses that did not block the latch. Condensation risk led us to lift pots on cork pads.
Neighbours still see a green edge from the street without a dense screen.
Chapter III — Cimiez courtyard corner
A private rear court with morning shade received compact shrubs in lightweight pots and a freestanding climber frame — no drilling into shared walls. Watering runoff directed to a gravel strip agreed in the syndic note.
Summer heat required a lighter soil mix; the client waters twice weekly in August and less in winter.
Chapter IV — Dried set for a guest bedroom
A Cimiez guest room with little daylight used dried stems in three soft tones. Living greenery stayed in the corridor where a skylight helped.
The set was refreshed once before winter gatherings with a new seasonal layer in the same vessels.
